"Stranger in the Woods" Book, DVD and Plush Toy
"Stranger in the Woods" by Carl R. Sams is about the frenzy of woodland animals upon realizing that a stranger is among them in their part of the woods following a winter snowstorm. The stranger is a snowman, of course.
The animals find him quite harmless and a rather pleasant fellow (in a quiet way) once they find him.
The photographs are spectacular, but what the children enjoy most is the animals' voices in the story. Each animal "talks like it sounds" in nature. For example the mourning dove's "Coo-coo-could that be him?"
This book is an instant wintertime classic.
The DVD, as an extension of the book, expands upon a wonderful way to teach your children about nature. The narration is quite funny - you'll all be in stitches. It's 40 minutes long.
The set is completed by the adorable posable plush deer "Tiny Star" for your child to snuggle while enjoying the book and the DVD.
